Obama Victory Speech – Indianized

November 8th, 2008 by tapsboy

Like a true bollywood movie, the below speech is “inspired” from Obama’s Victory Speech in Chicago.

The original speech can be found here

I dream of a leader capable of delivering this speech to a changed India very soon. I have deliberately kept number of items exact from the original speech as it is, as I found them perfectly appropriate for us too.

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that India is a civilization where impossible things happen; who still wonders if the dreams of the great men, who once wandered on this land are alive in our times; who still question the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It’s the answer told by people waiting for dozens of minutes on their computer screens, watching the timer, to cast their online vote; by people who touched the computer screens for first time in their lives in order to vote; by people who spent their pre-paid balances to cast their vote, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

Against Reservation

April 24th, 2007 by tapsboy

The SC verdict on OBC quota issue on delaying it is a strong populist action taken by the court. Dear CJI, we salute your passion to uphold the value of equality enshrined in our constitution.

One of the most impressive comments on the subject is from a guy, who claims to be an OBC yet opposed to the reservation bill. His comments on a Rediff Discussion Board, in a way showcases the fact that the caste politics is not supported by any castes.

.. that with over 90% of Hindus being called ‘Backward’, we still play by the rules set 1000s of years ago on a different context. It’s a free world, U don’t like caste system, then start a new religious belief or reform Hinduism by litigation! If u don’t like Hinduism at all, convert to a religion of ur choice or call urself an atheist! No business (except politicians) asks u which religion/ caste u r from (I have been in business for a fair amount of time). I frankly, don’t see how reservation will help root out 1000 of years of ’social inequalities’. It’s plain crap! It has to come internally and it applies from Brahmins and other FCs to SCs and STs including the OBCs…

I belong to an ‘Other backward caste’ and I have many FC friends, including many Brahmins. Knowing them, I can tell u many of the ‘Brahmins’ I know are nearly atheistic and I am more religious then them! For a fact, they never asked my caste before forming deep friendship with me. One of them has married a girl from a caste which even my parents would scoff at! And yes, none of this came about by reservation or governmental involvement. It was just plain education (friendship at school level btw!, so dont bring the crap of reservation in higher studies)

Anyways, future is’nt promising with such backwards thoughts running all through!

Luv
Inflamed Backward guy

Bravo…..Fight up people and serve the cause of eternal truth of equality and unification

Islam, Paranoia & Racism through Terrorism

August 25th, 2006 by tapsboy

The return of NorthWest Airlines flight from german skies back to schipol airport in holland is a story we all know about now.

The 12 “suspected terrrorists” turned to be simple muslims belonging to the famous Dawoodi Bohra trading community, one of the most progressive and modern muslim communities.

But this issue has been presented by the media & politicians in a lot of ways:

Confirmation- Blogspot is banned

July 18th, 2006 by tapsboy

I just saw a newsreport on Times Now, where I got the confirmation of my fears as reported 2 days back.

BLOGSPOT is banned. Becoz of mumbai blasts??? I am not sure!!

The key issue is that it is banned along with other Anit-India websites. Our stupid f**king govt. officials dont understand that is a blog and not a website. Even if they wanted to ban certain blogs, they could have banned it like xyz.blogspot.com. They instead banned the whole blogspot.com. Also came to know that even the ancient personal website tool geocities.com has been banned.

Why does the whole Indian blogging community suffer because of few insane anti-Indians? Blogspot.com is a google product and is the most famous blogging platform in the world. Most Indians and people everywhere who have the list amount of technical knowhow blog becoz of blogspot.com’s simplicity and ease. Infact after the mumbai blasts, http://mumbaihelp.blogspot.com was most famous and more reliable than police information sources.

Kasuri – Man has lost his senses…

July 13th, 2006 by tapsboy

He says: ” ‘best way’ of dealing with extremism in South Asia is to tackle ‘real issue’ of Jammu and Kashmir”

What a shameful statement Kasuri, Pakistani Foreign Minister, made in front of the American press. At the time of such sensitivities in Mumbai, he is talking of solving kashmir issue as a barter to stop terror.

http://www.rediff.com/news/2006/jul/12mumblast7.htm

And just check out what the responders to this article have said. Almost unanimously, all of them say “yes kasuri we will solve the ‘real issue’ – ‘pakistan’”.

Did you get any message, Kasuri? Stop now, else your home, Jinnah’s Pureland(pakistan) will be……………..

Paki Press Appreciates India Govt.

July 13th, 2006 by tapsboy

Amazing, yes the Pakistani press is not as much mouthshut as we think.

Check out how “The Dawn” does that:
http://www.dawn.com/2006/07/13/ed.htm#1

“What is commendable is that the Indian prime minister and his government have displayed an admirable measure of calm and restraint in the face of mayhem and panic.”

India – Just An Asian Tiger?

June 20th, 2006 by tapsboy

This article was orginally written in september 2003 (I was not aware about the blogging world that time. At that time India had just begun to show itself as an emerging super power. Posting it as Ii had written then)

The collapse of the Soviet Union led to a unipolar world, where U.S. became the sole military and economic superpower. Entire world accepted democracy and capitalism as an answer to all their woes. India soon liberalized her economy just in order to sustain. Within a short period of time, it realized the potential within.

The world witnessed the fast growing GDP, bombarding of MNC brands and rapidly growing middle class in India. It was seen to be one more Asian tiger economy in the making after the splendid success stories of East Asian and South-East Asian economies.

But like all others, India had its problems. Illiteracy at about 50%, corruption, unemployment, 40% people below poverty line and so on. Regional and Internal conflicts added to the social pressure.

Formula to Lasting Peace

June 20th, 2006 by tapsboy

This article was orginally written in september 2003 (I was not aware about the blogging world that time)

“Peace”, it seems to refer to an in between phase between two acts of terror. These acts of terror are not necessarily terrorist attacks, as we know it. They include the larger crimes of war and genocide.

To achieve peace in a permanent form, people of the world have resorted to violence. Lives can cost as little as little as a 50 paise worth bullet. Illiteracy, unemployment, poverty, corruption, class divides stay behind. Violence and bigotry are the frontline enemies.

Our country is on a road set to become a technology and economic superpower. The pseudo-nationalist politicians of our country relinquish their strength on our country’s nuclear arsenal, not realizing that time is ticking on a much larger bomb residing in minds of people. The bomb is a rift between the Hindu and Muslim community. If this bomb is not diffused, it may lead to partition once more. Mind-well this one will be bloodier than the previous one.
